Lesson Plans Week of November 14th

Exploratory classes have rotated. The new classes have been making portfolios and will start lessons on the color wheel and color schemes on Monday. Students will paint their own color wheel to keep for reference for later assignments.

Intermediate Art (Art I) These classes are creating a pencil drawing using the system of two point linear perspective that started during the Renaissance. The students have the choice of creating either a cityscape, an interior or a structured design.

Advanced Art (Art II) This class is winding up a study of a new printmaking process - the monotype. Using various imagery, the students are working in black and white. The direct drawing transfer method involves an inked plate and a spontaneous drawing. They are working against the drying time of the ink and the fine line between too much ink and not enough! Beautiful pieces are being produced.
