Objectives:

The student will
review and identify the elements of posture while singing.
2.
The student will
sing patriotic songs of America and will conduct in ¾ and 4/4 time signature.
3.
The student will review
the lines and spaces on the bass musical staff. These include GBDFA and ACEG.
4.
The student will
review the lines and spaces on the treble clef staff. These include FACE and
EGBDF.
5.
The students will
be able to identify voice parts ranging from soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and
bass.
6.
The students will
review musical dynamics.
7.
The student will
be given a quiz over voice parts & musical dynamics.
8.
The student will
begin identifying notes on the keyboard.
9.
The student will
be able to perform (play) simple patriotic melodies on the keyboard.

Objectives:
1. The students
competing in Solo Competition will be learning and singing their solo
selections; they will have lessons during lunch and after school.

The student will
continue to demonstrate proper singing poster.
3.
The student will
continue to demonstrate proper breathing techniques.
4.
The student will
continue to demonstrate proper usage of hand-signs (solfege)
while singing.
5.
The student will
continue to focus on vowel placement to achieve an overall mature and round
vocal sound.
6.
The student will
continue to sight-read music to develop reading ability.
7.
The student will begin new literature in preparation
for their spring concert.
