Librarian Biography
Mrs. Forbes is the librarian at West Briar Middle School. In 1999, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University. While at Sam Houston, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Habitat for Humanity, Program Council, and Student Government. Immediately after graduation, she began teaching English at Community Education Partners, an alternative education school in partnership with Houston Independent School District. In 2002, she completed a Master of Education degree from Houston Baptist University and began teaching at West Briar Middle School. She taught 7th grade Reading for three years and 6th grade English for one year before becoming the Librarian in 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles and collecting Snoopy paraphernalia. Other hobbies include jogging, reading, traveling, playing with her dog, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
